Panic at Old Trafford

Wed Apr 03, 2019 10:18 am

It has now emerged that if City don't win the FA cup then whoever does goes automatically into the having a laugh cup

That means that the 5th and 6th teams of which we will most likely be one have to go into the UEFA cup pre qualifying games which start very early thus forcing us to call off our pre season tour
FFS are they trying to kill the Glazers
Everybody needs to become a City fan and hope they win the FA cup thus helping the Glazers keep the pre season tour money

Maybe I'm missing your sarcasm here Ray but this is nothing new as it was announced as early as last summer.

The sarcasm is that United are hell bent on selling tickets and more importantly merchandise and advertising the club to the Far East

If City don't win the cup and therefore whoever else does ie Brighton,Wolves or Watford will go into the UEFA cup automatically

That means that whichever English teams finish 5th and 6th in the league will have to go into pre qualifying for the UEFA cup and that pre qualifying starts so early(July i think) then the tour will have to be called off and thus United will lose a lot of revenue
This is a disaster for this club ie losing money

If City do win the cup then nobody from the FA Cup go automatically into the UEFA cup and the 5th team doesn't have to pre qualify

Tours are all hype anyway, most of the first team don't go, the teams that do play have more than a sprinkling of youth and squad players.

Any teams were are likely to meet in the qualifiers will be unheard of, and to be honest our ladies team should be able to beat most of them, it's not really a problem is it ?

Well it wouldn't be a problem to me or you but it would be a problem to Ed Woodward because simply put, they have to,at the very least insinuate that all the shirt sellers are going on tour which they won't be
In Ed Woodward's ideal world the tour would go ahead with the mystery of some of the worlds greatest shirt sellers are coming ,which they aren't.
Charlie Stilitano who runs the mighty World Champions Champions league is reputed to be cleaning up Mafia money.Well he has been for the last 5 seasons in New York
You don't want to piss that lot off
If you do send some players and what you leave behind gets beaten by a team that should be beaten by the womens team you will get a serious fine and lose a lot of credibility with the Chinese ipad branch

For those very reasons the tour would be off.No negotiating. No nothing
OFF
And that would be a financial kick in the balls to the Glazers along with the possible financial kick in the balls for possibly not being in the top 4 for two
years running(this of course would be year one)

So what would happen then?
Cut backs on transfers cough cough
That would be Jose's fault this year and Ole's fault next year
It wouldn't be Ed Woodward's or Matt Judges fault

Let's wait and see what happens in the transfer window

EVERYBODY including the most ardent but unrealistic red fans like Goku say we need anything between 5 and 8 top class players
Let's see what happens and when something does happen, which it will then let's see if we have a Mbappe player or a young unknown but promising kid or an old knackered shirts eller or a combination

I just cannot see this club attracting the best for the forseable future and what worries me is that Ed Woodward confirms success is not important to the mighty investors group
