Mike Dean in the spotlight ........again

Mon Feb 25, 2019 2:24 pm

Mike Dean has been moved from being fourth official for the Chelsea-Spurs match on Wednesday.
At the endof the Burnley game Pochetino confronted Dean over a corner he awarded and which led to Burnley's first goal, Poch was not happy, and Dean was heard to say something by Poch and his assistant Perez. Poch had to be dragged away from Dean and his team by Burnley defender Phil Bardsley.

Poch pointed at a nearby TV camera and asked Dean to repeat it, of course he wouldn't, and now the FA have moved him from the Chelea -Spurs fixture to Manchester City instead.

IMO Mike Dean needs demoting, along with referees being made to answer for their decisions in a controlled press conference, much llike the ones F1 do with the drivers after the race. These officials are paid more than enough, have more devices to help them than ever before, yet still think they can ride rough and not explain why two fouls get a different response. Ofiicials are a joke, and we are seeing these inconsistences from all of them, what else are the fans to think other than they show favouritism to certain teams.

So he lost a position because Poch acted like a 4 year old kid who lost his dummy. Nice if the FA had more confidence in their refs

Or it could be because Dean got an important call wrong ( again) and said something to Poch that would have a manager fined or suspended, unfortuately the camera angle missed what Dean said, luckily for him.

Yep, the important call he got wrong gifted Spurs the goal
