The first vital game of a series
Lose to Derby then lose to City and follow that up with a loss to the mighty LASK, that i am 100% sure that none of you have heard of, and the season is over..
It will be over for everybody involved with the club including the owners
They are desperate for a cup final at the club as that is currently the only way they can sell tickets for next season
If United get to the FA or UEFA cup final the club can blackmail the fans,as they have done before ie the only way to guarantee a ticket for the final is to renew and pay immediately for next season
A cup final is,imo, more important to the commercial department than a top 4(possibly 5) finish

In fairness, I'd take winning a European trophy over finishing 4th.

I'd prefer to finish 8th, no cups and no European football next year, all the sponsors desert us and the parasites fornicate off.
