1-3 to us hopefully. Since we can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives.

Ole's plan in clearly working

Let them have 95% possession in your half
Pretend you haven't got a clue how to play against City
Let them get knackered and then hit them with 3 quick counter attacks towards the end

There's the first goal. 3-2. We could get the second

More and more Martial looks as though he's just taking up space....no anticipatory runs, reluctant to move or fight for the ball, completely disinterested.

It's like they know none of them can put in a cross.

And now fornicate Matic sent off.

From Ole:

"These boys have come a long way. They've developed. Second half showed as well that even though we didn't create too many big, clear cut chances, we pressed them back, we had spells where they were defended deep which pleased me."

Unfortunately that's what you get when you either play without a winger or play without an experienced partner alongside him who has an understanding with him

Let me give you an example. For me Martial is quite a lot like Andy Cole.A wiry and fast player who can slow down and speed up
Now Cole had Dwight Yorke to play one two's with. They had an understanding which they developed by playing alongside each other constantly
At the moment without Rashford you have thus isolated Martial
Andy Cole's other lines of getting in the game was pinpoint crosses from either Beckham or Giggs or both
With us at best having the one supposed winger in the club in James then Martial is fornicate
You don't need to be a brain surgeon to see James is out of his depth at this level.Apart from two or 3 games at the start he is hopeless. He can't pick a cross and he doesn't get his head up.He gives somebody like Martial(or Cole) no reason to make a run.He just kicks the ball with no knowledge of what he might do

And finally Cole had Scholes to pick out a run,any run
We have Fred the almost red who, although his play is improving is unlikely to find Martial.Matic plyts too deep mostly protecting the defence a la Carrick to feed Martial
Martial needs a quality playmaker or he is playing on scraps
They say Fernandes is such a player.I know Pogba is such a player but he has lost interest and is going anyway

So if Fernandes does turn out to be that playmaker nthen you still need a quality winger and you still need a third striker so that when you get an injury to your main men(Martial and Rashford) you have a back up.
Cole and Yorke had Ole and Sheringham

So to get a winger and a striker or two should take Ed Woodward about 4 transfer windows so wait and see(yet again)

And that still leaves a centre half to play alongside Maguire and if they can't or won't do a deal with Matic, whose contract is at an end in 3 months another midfielder

You still have a scenario of now 9 senior players gone and two in.Not close to being good enough for me

To quote Ole, you need a striker who is willing to break his nose to score. Martial isn't willing to break a sweat

If it's any solace we beat them twice. Martial looks lost without Rashford. If we had a full strength team we could have and should have won.

Break a sweat for what though? No one can put in a half dangerous ball. He could get to the perfect position every attack, and we'd either boot it into the first defender, sail it way over him and it go out for a goal kick or throw, or pass it between a couple of players who are too scared to take the cross themselves.

You are completely correct but this is typical United smoke and mirrors
Ole has been singing the Woodward song and continues to do so with the "i want a forward who will break his nose"
As Martial is the ONLY centre forward he is clearly having a dig at him. Why??
What will that do the lads desire to play?

I can/will now reveal that i have a friend who is acting with Mertens agent
The Napoli forward was offered to United 3 weeks ago.He is out of contract at the end of this season
Woodward or more specifically Matt Judge was offered the opportunity to speak directly to the player on the phone immediately
The player was looking for an offer only. The offer could have been a loan or a loan with an option to buy
He would have solved the problem short term and possibly for the next few years
United declined the invitation to even consider him.I can only assume for commercial shirt selling reasons
If we do not sign a centre forward despite the fact that we got rid of Lukaku and Sancez and Rashford is out for the rest of the season ,then let me turn this round in a way United's spin doctors and arsewipes like Ole is becoming by saying "we need a transfer negotiator willing to break the bank and his own nose to find a player who can score goals"

My point if you play as a number 9 you just give up running if nobody is putting in a cross. I mean Martial and Rashford had a partnership.

We gave away stupid goals at OT but we beat them twice on their own patch. That is my solace
