Mata and Sanchez not fast enough.
Young on terrible form. with corners hitting the first man and so on.

DDG is the only one preventing 3-0

Rashford off Lukaku on.

BT Sport commentary saying Matic at fault for the first goal for assuming the ball was DDG's
Bailly at fault for the second, as for some reason he slowed down instead of getting into a position to cut out Di Maria's cross to Mbappe.

Seems fair comment, watching the replays.

Once Lingard and Martial went off, we lost all attacking threat. Mata as wide forward is a waste, I keep saying it.

I's say both centre backs were at fault for the second.

Any decent midfield would have exposed slow Matic and headless chicken Herrera. No surprise there. Playing Bailly in this game, albeit only for his speed, really? Then changing attacking players(albeit through injury this time) like any of them were getting a proper, constant supply of the ball.

Good wake-up call for Ole. Still think he's a little naive.

Ole: 'It shows that we have not played at this level for some time.'

'Mountains are there to be climbed'.
That was a very honest assessment by him, it outlined our frailties at this level, and proved that Ashley Young is past it at this level, Di Maria had him taped, and yet again he proved that his crossing is woeful when he is tired, and to be honet he was knackered after the first ten minutes.

Losing Lindgard and Martial didn't help at all, we were virtually playing with one man up front, I'm beginning to think we got the rough end of the stick with Sanchez as well.
It's fair to say the officials didn't help, the guy who should have got a second yellow ( or a straight red) for the foul on Rashford, then scores the opener, yet Matic gets a yellow for a shirt pull, terrible refereeing, didn't have the bollocks to show the second yellows, which led to Pogba getting frustrated and a straight red, players will take matters into their own hands and damn the consequences.

Don't forget this is the team that ripped Barca apart last season 4-0. then got raped in the second leg, it can happen

Nice and easy to sum up

PSG without 2 key players took us apart

As usual our cenre halves were not not to be seen at key moments.Whichever combination of Jones,Bailly,Lindelof and Smalling you play they are just not good enough
Jones and Smalling need no explanation so why they have long term contracts is beyond me
Lindelof has clearly not improved despite m,any saying he has and Bailly has a mistake or two in him every game
We still need TWO CENTRE HALVES

Young was taken apart by Di Maria
He was done for pace a few times by a few PSG players
I guarantee you he will not get any faster
We still need A RIGHT BACK

More worrying for me was both Ole and Pogba
Ole possibly showed us why he got the bullet at Cardiff
Against a top team and a top manager he was very naieve
PSG man marked Pogba the entire game and Ole did not try to change anything. It was like he didn't expect it and was unable to come up with a plan B
As an example i watched United play Spurs a few weeks ago
Spurs got their tactics wrong in the first half and United ran riot
At half time Poccetino changed the formation and United ended up hanging on
Ole had no way of changing the formation

Pogba never got a kick and looked the Jose Pogba.
He sulked and his head went down and finally he was s ent off
Is it possible that Pogba is not a big game player.Just a thought

Don't get me wrong.PSG are a very good team but this was a dicking
I don't think we had a shot on target and without some very good DDG saves it could easily have been 6
This tie is dead and over and we got a lesson
It shows how far away we really are

Jose must have enjoyed watching last night as will Pep

The good news is that the ground was buzzing and the West stand looked like the Boxer uprising
The stewards couldn't get the stand cleared at the end of the game for Chinamen with straightened hair, dyed red, talking selfies and smiling
Not a bad night at all in the world of Glazernomics

So where does this team go from here
Wait and see

**Footnote. Now wait and see for the Lovely Man,Sigmar to come on and give a positive spin about how all will be well iin the summer after the new manager is given hundreds of millions of pounds to spend ***

So you missed the bit where Lindgard and Martial had to be subbed at half time ?
That would have fornicate up any managers game plan, I seem to remember us going in at half time 0-0, and despite a couple of scares we held our own.
Lindgard AND Martial going off released two of their SIX defenders, yes Young was shite, but that was only a small part of our problems. you really should watch a game now and again before spouting off the shit you do.

I don't get the Lingard/Martial argument. Who says if they stayed on, we would have won? They were not effective in the first half. Despite saying that, Sanchez was very very poor when he came on.

We have to be humble and gracious in defeat, no excuses. Man to man, they are far superior than us. Silva had Rashford in his pocket, and our midfield was outscholed by Veratti and Marqhuinois.

For the third sub, I would have gambled and put Lukaku beside Rashford, or just change it around. Tactically we were just crossing it, and it was easy defending by Silva.

Sarri & Klopp probably watched Pogba's performance and are thinking.. right.. we can easily get him frustrated. It's easy to blame him whenever we lose, however I certain;y expected from our talisman. It's these type of games that I want him to have a massive influence.

Also, why did the fans boo Di Maria? Yes, he was a flop but he did not disrespect the club. It didn't work out for him and he left.
Two class assists, and showed what a true world class winger he is

Re: Pre/Post Match Discussion: Champions League vs PSG (h)

Quote from Fox sports
"Yet for all the positivity from United's return to form in the past 2 months they remain 14 points behind Premier league leaders Liverpool and Manchester City and the big rebuilding job required to make the 3 times European champions contenders again for this competition were laid bare"
Perfectly summed up
So is it "It's all Jose's fault" or is it "The Glazers will invest what is needed.Wait and see"

Well i knew the Lovely Man would say something positive about a dicking
To everybody who was present and many i have spoken to since who were not present, but watched it on TV's that work, that was a dicking,a reality check, the truth
Call it what you want
We used to sit on the top table of world football but we now consider beating the likes of Fulham and Brighton and Reading great results

So you think that we held our own in the first half do you?
I think the pan must have slipped over your eyes

Losing Lingaard and Martial fornicate up our game plan did it
What do you think losing Neymar and Edison Cavani before the game do to PSG's game plan?

Buffon made NIL saves in the first half
In fact he made NIL saves in the entire game
Lingard and Martial went off because they had bust a gut trying to stay with the pace of the game and pulled muscles as a result
Herrara was full of cramp towards the end of the game whilst PSG looked as fresh at the end as they did at the start

Our old friend di Maria took the piss out of Young and will do so again in Paris
He joined United after winning the European cup final with Madrid
United told him they were going to build a world class team round him
He thought they meant football team when they meant merchandising team
You saw with him and Mbappe what top class really is
It is not shirt sellers like Lukaku or Sanchez

So if it's the usual story from inside Old trafford that you are peddling ie that all is well and there is limited availabilty for a Bobby Charlton for the next 3 home games then be happy and content and tell the Glazers you are a good bot and have done your job
The real genuine United fans are seriously worried about the following
1 What damage has this done mentally and physically for the upcoming game against a very average Chelsea
2 What "might" Liverpool do to us
3 How big a dicking are we going to get in Paris
4 Who is the new manager going to be
5 Who will this club be able to attract player wise who might have ambitions to challenge for top prizes

If any new manager came in, he would demand time to rebuild and get the players he needs for his system.

Ole has used what he had to hand, and refound the old United way.

These are not his players, not bought with his system in mind.

What could he have changed to at half time, using what players?

I would much rather watch United playing the United way than PSG only having any real competition in the CL, and lording it in uncompetitive matches the rest of the time.

The real test of Ole after this defeat comes at Chelsea, when he has to get the team back up after this reality check, with only DDG confirmed as being at the level of PSG, and even Pogba marked out of it.
