Well like my brother and Mum I have been a member on this forum for some time now and have only really ever been on to read and admire the amazing words and memories that you have all placed on here about Harry Gregg, as I have never really had anything more to say than what Danny and my mum have said (although as they will probably tell you thats a 1st!!) however I recently decided to write a poem about my grandad, I cant explain why, I just think it came into my head as I have been over to see him recently and I really wanted to share it with all the people that hopefully may appreciate it! I havent shown it to my grandad yet, as I felt weird showing him something that was about him

however hopefully in time he will get to read it and know how proud we are of him.....So here it is:-
They call the man a Hero, but he said you'd do the same?
But how many of you can admit you'd run into a burning plane?
The bravery, the courage, the outstanding selfless act,
is clearly more than most would do, I know that for a fact!
So raise your glass in honour, to a man who feared his life,
to save the lives of others, a baby and a wife!
This man Im proud to say is more than that to me,
My grandad hes the best, my Hero for eternity!
