A question

Sat Nov 12, 2016 12:00 pm

I don't very often buy scratchcards but I've just bought one for 5 quid and won a grand. Now I'm in a comfortable position. I don't need for anything at the moment. I don't really need to pay any bills and I'm pretty happy with my TV, car and everything like that. Financially I'm quite happy and comfortably saving money. So my question is what do I do with this money?
I'm genuinely not bragging but I want to do something worthwhile.
I'd considered donating to charity but being vein as fornicate has meant I've decided not to as I wouldn't see anywhere the money went. Its not enough for it to mean enough to get say new equipment and be shown it etc. Its a pretty vein reason but I want to see exactly what my money is going towards. I wouldn't get anything out of giving it away which sounds horrible.
What would you do in my position

Open up a Santander Current Account and get interest on it. They offer 1.5%.

Some accounts offer more but you have to have at least £3k.

Again this is gonna sound a bit big headed but I already have good savings. My future is looking good financially. Basically I have a grand to spend on anything I wish.

Steve, Christmas time is round the corner. Just think about the ones close to your heart and their wishes/needs. Besides, so you would know exactly what your money went on.

Is the correct answer. Why needlessly spend for the sake of it?

I would just put it with my savings until there was something I needed it for, or maybe a holiday? Use the money to learn something that's been on your to do list?

If you want to do something chariatable with it, in this weather I would go to a local homeless centre and see what they could use it for, do they need a new appliance or something and then buy that for them, then you know exactly where the money is going too.

That's what I do with charity too, buying necessity like rice, biscuits, etc won't go wrong.

Do something special for your family or loved ones, especially with the holidays just around the corner.
